Where We Stand with Women's Reproductive Rights
Womans rights now 2024 are basically up in the air. A lot has changed depending on where you live. Some states are making it harder to obtain birth control. Some states have made it hard or impossible to get an abortion. Currently there are a lot of legal battles going on. States that haven't put a ban are stepping up and helping women get what's needed. Reproductive rights have become political recently. Too many people from different groups have very strong opinions (most being men) on reproductive rights. These opinions align with political parties Republicans want all the restrictions and Democrats supports all womans rights. Because these rights are so important to many it becomes political when so many laws and policies are involved.
Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the infant death rate has increased and babies with birth defects went up as well. More women are being forced to carry babies to term with severe birth defects. Larger than normal legal battles are going on in the courts. Women are risking their freedom by traveling to other states to illegally seeking abortions. Overall, the overturning of Roe v. Wade has caused a whole lot of chaos and hopefully this election puts these rights back to where they belong.
